The drop was marketed as “Mooz Lottery.” Aminé and New Balance used Laylo to give fans a fair chance at getting the sneakers vs losing out to bots and resellers.
After waiting all weekend, the lottery winners were chosen!
Not only was the drop successful and the sneakers sold out, but Aminé was able to build a direct line of communication with thousands of fans who already expressed interest in buying merch.
On the drop day, all of them received a text with a link to even more merch! Fans who missed out on the shoes were still able to FOMO into hoodies, shirts, socks and stickers.
